I’m still trying to decide if I should use this fake screentone effect in my comic or not.
I kinda like that it looks like a scanned comic page.
I’d like to know what you all think :)

this is the current design of the (yet unnamed) female cyborg BTW.

The arms and hips are great. I really like the screentone effect actually. If you're planning to have chapter pages or pages to separate the comic into sections, it could be cool to use the screentone effect on them and leave if out of the rest maybe. Hmmm......

hey, that’s a great idea! I might just do that.
why choose when you can have both, right? :)

Besides the errors present near the bottom, the screen tone looks fine.
I'm not a real fan of it...but it gives the image some mood to it that a simple paint lacks.

I'm not a fan of screentone effects, but I think this might look better if the screentone was like finer, so the squares are smaller.

Cool. I like that zip-ton style. Nicely done.

Nice. =P
Cyborgs are kool. I have drawn cyborgs myself but I've more freedom about drawing the mechanical parts - spiky and organic design and so. Not so realistic, mind.

I don't know anything about screentones or how to apply them. But they do spice up any black'n'white comic.
I wonder what she(or it) would've looked like if you toned every part quite metal-like - instead of a slow gradient from head to toes(the result is slightly lame.)

I think I’ll have to take a look in your gallery then :)

I’m going to try out the whole metal surface thing later on, to see if that works.
though I like the simple gradient look. also it’s less time consuming.

thanks for your input!
