The design for that headpiece is phenomenal. I love how you're able to use such fluid shapes, yet allow it to still make mechanical sense.

I like the combination of big mech and hitty club. The line-art's fantastic, too. I wonder what it would look like finished?

Looking good so far. Are you going to leave it flat or you going to shade it after? Eeither way it'll look pretty good

I had a feeling you weren't planning on doing it, you seem to have a good sense of colour choice in your designs and they work well flat so don't worry about it.

I like to think that good linework makes shading (for the sake of describing volume) a mere bonus.

now, if *I* can pull that off is a different issue altogether ;P

Well you doing everything right so far. I mean you've got the complete black areas where they'd obviously be in shadow, and your using thicker lines around the shape of major components whilst the inner lines are thinner. Just keep it up and you'll be sorted. By the way do are yuo using the pen tool to add clean lines are are you modifying the original lineart?

depends. for this one I just did a new white layer with some transperacy and drew new clean ones following the sketch.

then I got impatient (as usual) and started adding colour to see what it would look like.
